This policy explains what data Biolink collects, how we use it, and your choices. By using Biolink you agree to this policy.
1. What we collect
- Account info: email, username, and an optional display name.
- Profile content: your handle, bio, avatar/cover image URLs, and the links you add — this is public by design.
- Usage analytics: page views and link clicks, the referring site, and an approximate country, so you can see basic stats.
- Technical data: your IP address, used to keep you signed in and to limit abuse (e.g. failed-login rate limiting).
- Payment claims: when you tell us you've paid, we record which biolink it's for and the time — we do not store your financial details.
2. How we use it
- to provide and operate the Service and show your public page;
- to give you basic analytics about your page;
- to prevent abuse and keep accounts secure;
- to process manual payment activations;
- to send essential emails (email verification, password reset).
3. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a cookie to remember which biolink you're editing. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
4. Service providers
We rely on a few providers to run Biolink:
- hosting (Vercel),
- database (Neon),
- transactional email (Resend).
Your public page is, by design, visible to anyone with the link. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Payments
Payments are made through an external provider you choose (e.g. Binance). We only record your payment claim and which biolink it applies to; we never receive or store your card or wallet credentials.
6. Retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account (or ask an admin) to remove your data; some operational logs may persist for a short time.
7. Security
Passwords are stored hashed (never in plain text), and we apply login rate-limiting. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
8. Children
Biolink is not intended for anyone under 13 years old.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; we'll update the date above.
